This is a cage and we were made for it

I tried so hard to shake off the sense that these aren’t my thoughts
That someone or something would use my teeth to bite my tongue
I paced the walls where I learned to walk and that I ran from
When I tore them down I saw through the bars of the dreamcage

Through the bars at the view
See things from inside the dreamcage
Gaze not for long or else be lost

I am the chaff of a crop not fit for consumption
Bioengineered for use in raw power acquisition
What I want is not of concern but serves to turn me out
As I am lulled into forgetting that the view is through the bars
